10 Days of Kindness Grinnell

In January and February, 2019, Inclusivi-tee was privileged to be in Grinnell, Iowa to celebrate Ten Days of Kindness. Members of the community and Grinnell College worked together on planning this event. Laurie Ellis-Young breath literacy instructor, joined us and talented musicians Mari Harris, Teghan Devon, and the DeMasi Brothers came to perform and entertain the community. Children from the preschools and seniors from the retirement communities joined in the festivities. The only drawback was the weather----it was so cold that school was cancelled and attendance was low as people huddled inside to keep warm. That did not stop those of us who attended from having a great time, which lead to Inclusivi-tee's renewed commitment to plan another event for 2020...just not during the winter.
